Prior to starting my PhD, I received my BA in Anthropology, BBA, and MS in Strategy from Seoul National University. I was born in Seoul and lived in Seoul, Greater Tokyo Area, Geneva, and Paris.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I love to read and write poetry. I also like film photography. Living in Ann Arbor in the past five years, I took a lot of pictures of trees!
